Communicating with flowers became such a refined art in the nineteenth century that reference books such as this were necessary. This book goes through the various flowers in alphabetical order and tells you the meaning behind each flower. Allowing you to make a flower arrangement that can secretly(unless the recipient knows what the flowers mean) portray a particular message. Each flower comes with a small pretty colored illustration. It is also just interesting to read if your interested in this kind of topic.
