The Octopus shows you a shell which has been quickened with gilt. Use it, in turn, to quicken your net bag. Its mathematically perfect swirl helps to funnel the Current through the bag’s sieve-like structure, making it easier to discern the Current’s messages as they are swept through the air.
Each shell is unique; colors and sized vary. It is accompanied by a stitch marker so you can add it to a market bag or a seam in your clothing.
