Prepaid Twelve Month Subscription - Birdmoss Box

I had previously purchased an individual box just because I liked the idea of what I would be receiving. However, the suspense of what would arrive with the August box for The Changeling just increased my excitement when it arrived. I enjoyed opening the box while I was hidden in my room away from the kiddos, enjoying pulling each treasure from the box, reading the card, putting everything carefully back in so I could put the items on the shelf I recently got just for displaying treasures like these. Shannon understands how to curate a collection with an amazing story that makes you feel like a part of a magical secret and we need more of that as adults than we realize. Get this subscription for yourself or someone you love who needs that sort of thing in their life.

I looked through the many reviews for this subscription and considered both the negative and positive comments before subscribing. I see that many of the negative comments revolve around how the items received could be purchased online or in bulk for very little money.
I kept those comments in mind as I opened my first two boxes (Raccoons & Changeling) While it is true I could go out and hunt down these trinkets, I would most likely then own dozens and dozens of them because buying in bulk is what makes their purchase cost effective.

After I purchased two standalone boxes, what caused me to subscribe was the anticipation of an immersive experience for a short time once a month when a Birdmoss Box is delivered. The mail carrier comes on the 20th of the month, my Birdmoss Box arrives and thats a cue for a little bit of me-time. Make a cup of tea, get my favorite snack, tell the family I'm taking some time for myself. Then I carefully dig into the box and unearth each treasure as I read the letter. At a time when the everyday is scary and so much is unknown, this small escape is something I delight in.

Yes, it is on the pricey side. You need to consider that some of that cost is going towards shipping,packaging,and everything that goes into putting a subscription service together as well as the physical items.
Could you buy the items and write the letter on your home computer? Probably. Are you going to have the time and energy to do so? Not likely.
Give yourself the gift of something charming and whimsical once a month.

This box exceeded my expectations. There was a beautiful surprise in every inch of the box, wrapped so neatly in purple paper. Very much worth the purchase.

I've subscribed to Birdmoss for more than a year now as a gift for my daughter. I enjoy seeing her delight in each treasure as she opens them. I often envy her and wish I had ordered some of the items for myself. So I finally did it. I placed an order for an assortment of items for myself. Even though I'd already seen most of them when my daughter opened hers, I was delighted all over again with treasures of my own. I can't wait to use the pebbly glycerin soap (or maybe I'll just keep it to look at it!) The collapsing tumbler with the little raccoon charm is going straight to my "emergency" box in the car. I'm going to find a place of honor for the fulgurite in the adorable display box, and I'll marvel at it every time we have a thunderstorm and wonder where a new fulgurite may be forming. I'm going to put the luxurious notebook to use right away starting a Christmas list. And the tiny printer's tray! I didn't get to see my daughter's, and I didn't pay any attention to the dimensions when I ordered it. Tiny is not an exaggeration. I was puzzled as I opened the little gift bag it came in and was instantly enchanted with the mini printer's tray and the generous assortment of curiosities that will fill the tiny compartments along with some treasures of my own. Now to anticipate the charm of next month's box!

I look forward to the Birdmoss box every month. With each box the story continues. There is always touch of magic and surprise as you go through the items.I love the crafts that you add and the wonderful art on the box plus the card . Thank you for the dreams
