Meet Matilda (sometimes called Mattie), a mouse who loves gathering mushrooms.
Handmade from British wool, each felted mouse is unique. This one wears a sage-green dress and holds a scarlet-capped felted mushroom. Standing about 4.25 inches tall, she would be at home in most 1:12 scale dollhouses. Her tail can be gently posed to help her stand on a flat surface. She will arrive with a hanging loop so that she can be used as an ornament, but the loop can easily be snipped away.
Matilda was first offered as a Mouse of the Month in January 2024.

Matilda is so cute with her little mushroom,she fits perfectly into my little Birdmoss sanctuary. All the boxes have exceeded expectations in their creativeness and imagination. It's like finding an old abandoned house out in the woods filled with long forgotten treasures. There is great beauty in old things. I take them home to save them and preserve the memories. Love it
One of the things that I love about the Birdmoss mice is their quality, and Matilda is one of my favorites. Her dress is nicely made, and she herself is sturdy, her wire frame body well-covered and plump, right down to her toes. She won't arrive squashed and misshapen like some more unfortunate and cheaply made mice, either. I love her bright mushroom, too.
She is hanging in my kitchen. She makes me smile.
Matilda is an absolutely precious mousie. She was upset when she got here after sitting in the post office for a week because everything was closed here for 7 days because of the snow. She said thank goodness Bertrand was with her. We kept each other warm.
