The dark, tannic pomegranate is the symbol of the Birdmoss Below. Its seeds are reminiscent of blood, wine, and shadow; most flinch away from the spray of juice when the fruit is opened. Therefore, it is the perfect hiding place for small secrets.
Your pomegranate-shaped box measures about 1.6x2 inches. It's made of a zinc alloy and finished with a burgundy glaze.

I love how small this container is and it feels beautifully made. I'm very pleased with this container for tiny treasures!
I used to teach Greek mythology to 8th grade English class as my final unit in the late spring after state testing was completed. Since "Persephone and the Pomegranate Seeds" was one of the stories we read, in February I had to bring in a pomegranate (that's when they were in season) to show the class and allow them to see exactly what the seeds were. Every time I saw this little dish it reminded me of that time of year and some of my students' reactions.
It’s beautiful. I used it in a display of larger pieces and its small size brought focus to the whole grouping.
This delightful little treasure box in the shape of a pomegranate is perfect for holding a small intention or other magical items. It is the most enchanted symbol on my altar space. The color and detail are rich and refined. I adore this sweet little box. So happy to have this!
