The dark, tannic pomegranate is the symbol of the Birdmoss Below. Its seeds are reminiscent of blood, wine, and shadow; most flinch away from the spray of juice when the fruit is opened. Therefore, it is the perfect hiding place for small secrets.
Your pomegranate-shaped box measures about 1.6x2 inches. It's made of a zinc alloy and finished with a burgundy glaze.

This lovely pomegranate inspired box is one of my favorite items from Birdmoss. The box resonates (for me) with the beauty and attraction of the dark side of life and the perfect mix of "above" and "below".
