Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with golden lacquer or resin. Rather than trying to hide the damage, kintsugi draws attention to the repair. New beauty is found in the imperfections. A broken item, resurrected, has a history. The practice celebrates authenticity and resilience.
This beginner's kit will allow you to experiment with this exquisite art form. Traditional kintsugi materials are not waterproof or foodsafe, and can cause inflammation of the skin and lungs. In contrast, this kit is designed specifically for repairing food-safe pottery and ceramic items.
Your kit includes a practice dish; specially-formulated glue, golden powder, mixing sticks, gloves, and instructions.
