At first, the swamp seems unnaturally quiet. You scan the landscape for life, then catch a small movement out of the corner of your eye. When you investigate, you find only a glossy stone. A moment later, you hear a faint croak and turn back to see two eyes regarding you. A large Frog leaps upon a cypress stump, and you squat down to introduce yourself.
Your piece of AA-grade dragon bloodstone jasper measures 1-1.5 inches. Ethically and sustainably sourced from small mines in South Africa, each stone is unique.

Denise H. I have been collecting minerals since I was a child. One of my favorites is Bloodstone Jasper. In the ancient world, Bloodstone (aka Heliotrope) was considered to be the most beautiful of the Jaspers, a deep, earthy green gem emboldened with spots of bright red. Called the Sun Stone, its energy carries the purity of blood and inherently speaks of life and birth, vitality and strength, passion and courage. As a talisman, it is both mystical and magical, and its virtues are protective and nurturing. It is an alternate birthstone for March.
