A young Wolf walks you into the encampment. When introduced, you bow before the Seer. She is laying out various tools to prepare for a search; a child has gone missing. You examine a block of dark wood. The seer explains that it is ancient bog-oak salvaged from a peat bog. The Wolves consider the peat bogs to be the home of the goddess of the underworld, a place where the veil is thin. The bog-oak is over 6000 years old and facilitates communication with ancestors and spirits. Use it as a paperweight, add it to your altar, or contemplate it when seeking the answer to a question.

Your bog-oak specimen was collected in Ukraine, then finished to a smooth surface.  It measures about .8 by .8 by 5.1 inches.

Bog-Oak was featured in the Wolves Box (January 2023).

    Ancient and calm

I already had one, but had to get another. This ancient wood is calming, slow, and helps me focus away from all the craziness that life is today. It takes me to an older, wilder place, which is important because I don't get the chance to go outdoors very often. Birdmoss helps bring the wild to my home and my heart.

    Ancient oak

I’ve had a bit of a fascination with bog oak for a while, so I had to get this! The piece I received had a nice feel and a lovely silvery gray color. It’s very neat to be able to hold something that was once a living thing so long ago

    Love it

I loved the smell and feel of mine, so I got another for my father in law. He's a woodworker, so I thought he'd like a piece for Father's Day. 😁
