The Raccoons lead you to a raft made of fallen tree limbs, rope, and bobbing chunks of cork. The larger of the pair produces a shining whistle and blows three brief shrill notes. “They’ll know that we’re on our way.” The Raccoons steer the raft across the dark mirror of the Swamp until you reach a place where the water clears.

Each whistle measures about 3.25 inches in length.

The Boatswain’s Call was featured in the Raccoons Box (June 2025).

Botswains Whistle

The whistle is pretty and good size. I hope to learn how to use it but also may attach it to a cord and wear it or just keep is somewhere with my other small treasures.
