The Scarlet Flower is a Russian version of the classic Beauty and the Beast narrative. A traveling merchant stumbles upon a silver and gold palace. There, he picks a beautiful red flower for his youngest daughter, Nastenka, not realizing that the flower belongs to the Beast of the Forest. To make up for the theft, Nastenka goes to live in the Beast's opulent palace. Eventually, her love breaks the spell upon the Beast, revealing that he is a prince.
Your Scarlet Flower Thimble is hand-turned and hand-painted, with delicate gold foil detailing. Measuring about 1 inch tall, each one is unique. Made in Russia (and imported before the war), they possess an Old-World charm.
